A recent college graduate, I am currently participating in the Washington D.C. job scramble with nothing but a liberal arts degree, a couple of internships, and some sass. Since determined college graduates, like myself, come a dime a dozen in a shrunken job market, fellow members of the Millennial Generation need a set of survival skills for wading out the present economic downturn. No job, no health insurance, no problem! We can get through the bouts of self-doubt and uncertainty together – being broke doesn’t have to mean being unhappy.
At present, I am interning at a wonderful organization that is not hiring at this time.

Hey Jennifer,
I recently stumbled across your site and have to say I’ll be an avid visitor during my first year as a college alum. With so many feelings swirling (angst, ambivalence, etc.) it’s reassuring to read (and empathize) with a recent college graduate.
I’m also waiting to hear back from some D.C. jobs so I wish you the best of luck!
